VINTAGE HATHOR GODDESS RING • APPROX. UK SIZE Q


An exceptional and highly unusual vintage Egyptian Revival ring depicting Hathor, one of the great goddesses of ancient Egypt.


The design incorporates the distinctive frontal face and cow ears associated with Hathor, beneath a shrine-like headdress recalling the Hathor emblem seen on ancient Egyptian ritual sistra.


This is a substantial piece with a very thick, wide band and wonderfully detailed raised decoration. It has considerable presence on the hand and is far removed from typical mass-produced Egyptian-inspired jewellery.
